Dear Juno, I agree and think you did the right thing on changing your mind about aborting the baby and giving it away to a family who are not able to have a baby. I believe you weren’t being selfish or just aborting the baby just because “you don’t want it” but giving it a life that another family can give her/him. I can only imagine how hard it’s to put your baby for adoption but I think you did the right thing for yourself because you knew you weren’t ready and it was the right moment to be a mom but you were able to get through the situation perfectly fine even though it was hard for you. So, don’t think you were just being selfish like other women who just have take advantage of abortion, unlike you, you gave it away to adoption and gave it to a woman who was ready and was willing to give him/her everything she needed in life. The idea of Roe vs. Wade is allowing the people to make their own decisions for their own body whether they want to abort their baby or not. It changed so many women’s lives because before it was issued, a lot of women were dying because they were doing the abortion by themselves or with objects that would hurt them and lead into death. But the fact that it’s illegal to the people to make their own choices, some women can take advantage of it and have sexual intercourse and become pregnant without even wanting to so they have an abortion, now that’s being selfish of the women doing that. Even though the first trimester the baby is just growing, I still think it’s a human being that shouldn’t be aborted not that i’m against abortion but because some women take advantage of it. So, in my opinion Roe vs. Wade should be legal to the women who actually need it and have a good reason to. For example, let’s say the baby isn’t going to make it through the pregnancy because of a serious defect or it’s a life living or death for the women or the baby. These are good reasons to have an abortion, not because you don’t want the baby or because “you are not ready.” Those are the women that know what they are doing and are being irresponsible about the things they do and should have more responsibility for the actions they make.
